Thermal Chiller

Thermalfrost's TF030 has a cooling capacity of 30 kW and is available for both Standard (land-based) and Marine applications.

 Features

  • High COP: in excess of 0.8 even with Hot Water (HW) temperatures as low as 70°C
  • Provides freezing (as low as -25°C) in addition to refrigeration and air conditioning
  • Small
  • Robust
  • Quiet
  • Low maintenance
  • Long product life

Benefits

  • Lower operating costs: Through fuel savings a typical installation can have a payback period of less than 24 months
  • Even very low-grade heat, as low as 60°C, can provide useful cooling - this broadens the scope of potential heat sources, like from solar installations or an engine's coolant
  • Elimination of >85% of environmental emissions
  • Thermal storage: ice is an excellent and popular method to store cold - this allows for constant cooling even if a heat source is intermittent

Thermal Energy Storage

Thermalfrost offers Thermal Energy Storage (TES) comprised of Phase Change Materials (PCM) within a temperature range from -20° to 100°C.  Under development are PCM upwards to 180°C.  In conjunction with this development we are working on Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) from flue gas into our TES.

World First

Thermalfrost's first commercially available thermal chiller - the TF030 - has a cooling capacity of 30 kW. The TF030 is available for both Standard (land-based) and Marine applications.
